Okay, so I’ve been wanting to try my hand at remaking a watch for a while now, and I finally decided to go for it. I picked the Patek Philippe Calatrava 6119G-001 because it’s a classic, and I figured it would be a good challenge. I saw it in a picture and thought I could do it too.
I started by doing a ton of research. I looked up everything I could find about the 6119G-001, from its history to its movement. I spent hours looking at pictures and reading articles online. I even found some forums where people were talking about remaking watches, which was super helpful.
Next, I needed to find the right parts. This was probably the hardest part of the whole process. After all, I wanted it to be perfect.

Once I had all the parts, it was time to start assembling the watch. I laid everything out on my workbench and carefully started putting it together. I just followed the steps the pros were doing and made sure I did the same thing.
After I finished assembling the watch, I tested it out. I was so excited to see it ticking away! I wore it around for a few days to make sure it was keeping good time, and I even made a few minor adjustments to get it running even better.
The Final Result
I’m really happy with how my remake turned out. It’s not perfect, but it’s pretty darn close to the real thing. I learned so much during this process, and I’m already thinking about my next project. I might try a different model next time, but for now, I’m just going to enjoy wearing my new watch. It’s not a real Patek Philippe, but I made it, and that’s what matters. I showed it to my friend who knows a lot about watches, and he was shocked. I think I’ve found a new hobby!
