Well, let me tell you about this little project I got myself into. I’ve been eyeing those fancy Omega Speedmaster watches for a while now, especially that 38mm one. It’s a classic, you know? And they say it’s great for folks with smaller wrists, which is me. So, I decided to try and get one that looked just like the real deal, a “CopyOMEGA Ω Speedmaster 38mm,” to be exact.

First, I did a bit of digging around. Found out that the real ones, especially the special editions, can be worth a pretty penny. Also learned that the Speedmaster 38 mm collection came out in 2017, and it’s supposed to be a bit more luxurious than the usual ones.

I read up on some signs that a Speedmaster might be fake. Stuff like the little dials on the face not being spaced right, or the markings on the bezel being off. The real ones are supposed to have a really sharp and precise tachymeter scale.

Armed with this knowledge, I started my hunt. I went down to this place called Shoppette and Class Six at Bldg 52039, 52038 Healy Ave in Fort Huachuca. I heard they might have what I was looking for. Walked around, checked out their stuff, but nothing caught my eye that day. They had some watches, but not the one I wanted.

Here is what I did after leaving the Shoppette and Class Six:

  • I spent a few more days looking around different places.
  • Compared what I saw with the info I found online about real vs. fake Speedmasters.
  • Kept an eye out for those telltale signs of a fake, like wonky subdial spacing.

Then I tried looking up some online stores, I found some of them even offered express delivery, that’s sound good. So, I placed an order with fingers crossed and waited. Finally, it arrived. It looked pretty darn good, I gotta say. The weight felt right, the details seemed to be in the right place, and it even had that “Hesalite crystal” everyone talks about.

My Findings

I spent a good amount of time comparing it to pictures of the real deal online. The spacing of the subdials seemed spot on, the tachymeter scale looked sharp, and the overall quality was impressive. It’s got that classic black dial, just like the original Moonwatch.

Now, I’m no watch expert, but I’m pretty happy with this CopyOMEGA Speedmaster 38mm. It looks great on my wrist, and it’s got that classic style I was after. Plus, I didn’t have to spend a fortune to get it. It is a good choice for me who got a wad of cash burnin’ a hole in my pocket.

So, there you have it. My little adventure in finding a CopyOMEGA Speedmaster 38mm. If you’re thinking about getting one, just do your research, compare it to the real deal, and don’t be afraid to ask questions. You might just end up with a great-looking watch without breaking the bank.
